Join Father Christopher Pollard (St. John’s) and Father Scott Sina (St. Agnes) as we embark on a pilgrim’s journey through some of the world’s most beautiful and ancient cities in Italy.
Pilgrims will experience the history, sacred sites, fantastic food and wine, and more from Rome, through the Tuscany region to Balzono in Northern Italy, and ending in the beautiful City of Canals, Venice.
San Clemente Basilica and St. Peter’s Basilica are just a few of the many breathtaking basilicas and churches we will visit on our spiritual journey. Pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit the sacred site of The Eucharistic Miracle in Orvieto as well as the tombs of St. Francis and St. Clare in Assisi, St. Catherine of Sienna, and St. John Bosco in Torino. We will also taste some of the best reds and whites that Italy produces as pilgrims enjoy wine tasting in the Tuscany region.
Our pilgrims will fall in love with the spectacular city of Florence, as we visit Santa Croce and Santa Maria del Fiore. For our breathtaking seaside visits to Cinque Terre and Colombare-Sirmione on Lake Garda, there isn’t a museum in sight — just sun, sea, wine, and pure, untainted Italy.
Pilgrims will gaze at the stunning and picturesque landscape during our drive through Northern Italy to the town of Balzano, featuring the sublime views of the Dolomite Mountains.
Our pilgrimage will end in the romantic city of Venice with visits to St. Mark’s Basilica and free time to explore and relax in this remarkable city.
