The ancient city of Ephesus Archaeological Site is one of the most significant biblical sites in the Christian world. It was here that St. Paul preached and established a thriving early Christian community, later addressed in the Book of Revelation as one of the Seven Churches of Asia. Ephesus is also closely connected to St. John the Apostle and the Blessed Virgin Mary, who according to tradition lived nearby in her final years.
