St. John Vianney, also known as the Curé d’Ars, is considered the patron saint of parish priests. His life of devotion and his love for the “Good God” – as he liked to call him- transformed the life of the inhabitants of the village. The priest, who had such trouble learning to read and succeeding at the seminary, eventually had crowds of people came to hear him preach. The village of Ars is to this day highly influenced by this saint.
