On arrival into Rome we will collect our luggage, board our tour bus and experience a panoramic tour of the eternal city of Rome. Followed by a tour of the Roman Forum and Colosseum.

Late afternoon visit to San Clemente Basilica. The 12th Century basilica features 2000 years of history. Concelebrated Mass in Italian at the Pantheon.

After Mass, mini-tour St. Peter’s Basilica. Pray at the John Paul II Tomb /Chapel, etc. (St. Peter’s is the most grand church in the world built on the site where St. Peter was martyred) Followed by Scavi Tours excavations below the main altar (pending schedule).
Lunch.
Free time to visit the Vatican Museum / Sistine Chapel.

Seven Church Walk. Depart from St. Peter’s Basilica. Visit Santa Maria Vallicella, St. Mary Major, Basilica of St Lawrence, Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem, Basilica John Lateran/ Scala Santa, Catacombs of St Sebastian.
Brief lunch on your own.

Early Departure by bus for Orvieto.

Visit the beautiful Duomo that houses the Corpus of the 13th century Eucharistic miracle. (Orvieto is a beautiful city built on a mountain of volcanic rock. Also famous for Orvieto wine)
Pranzone (lunch) in Orvieto.
Depart for the Tuscany region.
Wine tasting, Montepulciano.
Late arrival for overnight in the Tuscany Region.

Visit Assisi. We will visit the sites made famous by its two best-known citizens, St. Francis and St. Clare, including the tombs of these famous Saints in the basilicas, the Monastery of St. Damian and the convent founded by St. Clare. Santa Chiara / Santa Agnes.

Assisi – Siena – San Gimignano – Florence

Brief visit to Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi (visit the Portiuncola, rose bush and the cave where St. Francis spent time in prayer.)
Snack at Porchetta Fabio.
Depart Assisi for Siena.
Late morning Mass / Basilica Cateriniana in Siena (St. Catherine of Sienna).
Visit Basilica di San Francesco (Eucharistic Miracle).
We continue through the scenic Tuscany countryside en route to Florence, visit San Gimignano. Wine Tasting.

Group Mass TBA at Parrocchia San Carlo (Via dei Calzaiuoli, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy) as guests of Don Vasco Giuliani.
We will take walking tour of this great city including the Franciscan church of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce), where Dante, Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli are buried, to the Piazza Signora and Palazzo Vecchio. We will visit the magnificent Duomo, the 13th century Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Campanile (Bell Tower) and the Baptistery of St. John the Baptist.
Free time in the afternoon to explore Florence on your own.

Cinque Terre – Torino

Depart Florence for a day of travel through the beautiful Ligurian Coast that makes the fabled Cinque Terre (meaning Five Lands) Incredible beauty on the coast of the Ligurian Sea.
We will have lunch in one of the beautiful seaside villages.
After lunch we will depart for Torino.

We will tour the City of Torino visiting the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians originally part of the home for the poor founded by St. John Bosco. It now contains the remains of St. John Bosco as well as 6000 relics of other saints. We will visit The Little House of the Divine Providence. Founded by Saint Joseph Benedict Cottolengo, it is a civil and ecclesial institution. It is grounded on Divine Providence, its spirit is the “Charity of Christ”, it is supported by prayers and the centre of activities is helping the poor. We will continue to the Santuario della Consolata, once home to an icon that was venerated for having healing powers, making it a pilgrim site for centuries. Inside the church, Rococo decorations reflect the light, making the marble and Solomic columns gleam. The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is the next stop, home to the Shroud of Turin for 4 centuries although it is not currently on display to the public. The Cathedral also houses the tomb of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, native of Turin. His body remained free of decay for almost eight decades which is just one remarkable testament of his holiness.

Visit to the Basilica of the Superga. Vittorio Amedeo II’s 1706 promise, to build a basilica to honour the Virgin Mary if Turin was saved from besieging French and Spanish armies, resulted in this wedding cake edifice, built on a hill across the Po river. Continue our scenic bus journey.
Stop for lunch and brief visit in Colombare-Sirmione.
Late arrival in the northern City of Bolzano.

Enjoy breakfast before walking Bolzano, Italian town that features breathtaking views of the Dolomite Mountains and the Italian landscape. Stroll their well-known open city market.

Visit the beautiful Assumption of Our Lady Cathedral, Bolzano’s chief landmark, the prized jewel of the town’s medieval centre and main square.

Walking tour of Venice, through St. Marks Square, then to St. Mark’s Basilica. After lunch, we will visit the magnificent Santa Maria della Salute, a true site to see from the waterways of Venice. After the visit, enjoy a free afternoon to roam one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Take the rest of the day to enjoy the City of Canals.
