The Heights men started their day where it all began, the Basilica of the Annunciation. The place where “Mary heard the Word”.

After a brief visit at the Basilica, the morning was spent walking the old city of Nazareth where Jesus grew up. This included visits to the Synagogue Church and Mary’s Well. After lunch, the bus departed for Mt. Tabor. Special taxi vans drove the boys up the twisted mountain road to the site where Jesus revealed His Glory in the Transfiguration. While we heard the gospel Sunday here in the U.S. of the Transfiguration, the group was privileged to celebrate Holy Mass at the very site.

Following a visit to the Wedding Church in Cana, the site of the first miracle, the group returned to Nazareth for dinner and rest.
