Last day in Nazareth.

In the morning at 7:00 AM, the Heights group was honored to celebrate Holy Mass in the Basilica of the Annunciation, (the crypt directly in front of the cave) Our Lady’s house where the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and spoke these words.

Several Heights men honored Mary with beautiful song as a communion meditation. (See video below)

After Mass and breakfast, the group departed Nazareth for Caesarea Maritime. The Heights men explored the ruins of this ancient city on the Mediterranean Sea. Highlights included the Roman Amphitheater and the Crusaders fortress. Then it was on to the place of Christ’s birth, Bethlehem, for a visit to the Nativity. The group then went down to Shepherd’s Field. That afternoon the boys had a special lunch in the same room where Pope John Paul II and many other Popes have had their lunch when visiting Bethlehem. They also will stay and rest there at the Franciscan Casa Nova for the evening.
